One of the most successful car brands in India Tata Motors is soon going to launch its one more car Tata Tigor in the electric vehicle segment.
The global automakers have been profusely finding new alternatives to fossil fuels for ages. The world environment which is deteriorating day by day is not a hidden thing due to due to burning fuels.
Electric Vehicles are the only option now for a carbon-neutral world with zero carbon emission. According to the report’s countries like the UK, Germany, France and Norway have even bought enactment to ban the sales of non-electric vehicles by 2025.
Tata Tigor History
Tata Tigor is a subcompact sedan that was launched back in Indian Automobile Industry in March 2017.
Tata Tigor comes with both Manual and Automatic petrol versions with the latest BS6 norms. Manual has 4 variants and Automatic has 2 variants.

Tata Tigor EV
Tata Nexon is the only EV in India with almost no competition and has proven successful on Indian roads. Tata Nexon has more demand for the EV version than for its diesel or petrol variant. It is one of the highest-selling EVs in India at present.
Tata motors have sold around 1,716 units in the first quarter of the current financial year.
After the immense success of Nexon EV, Tata Motors have decided to launch its Tigor car in the EV segment.
Tata Tigor EV is officially going to launch in India by 31st August 2021 and booking have officially started and will be available at your nearest dealership soon.
Ziptron technologies offer a permanent AC motor paired with a lithium-ion battery. Ziptron technologies cocoons all the virtues of Tata Motors Electric Vehicles.
Ziptron technology will also be part of Tigor EV. As yet the figures are not confirmed, but the company has claimed that this technology would relate to over a range of 300 to 350kms.
Under the Hood- Tata Tigor EV
Design:
The design of the new Tigor EV has been refurbished in line with the upgraded Altroz and Tiago.
The front projector headlamps have been redesigned along with the front bumper and front grille.
Alloy wheels have been designed with blue accents which manifests the zero-emission character.
Cabin & Features:
Tigor EV cabin has been renovated design compared to the outgoing model. On the dashboard and seats, it has blue accents.
The car has a 7-inch touch screen infotainment system connected to the Harman audio system. Other than this the car has an automatic climate control feature, push-start button and electrically adjustable ORVMs.
Powertrain:
Tata Tigor EV will have IP67 rated 26 kWh lithium-ion battery pack united with an electric motor.
The electric powertrain will generate 73.75 hp of power and 170 Nm of torque. According to the carmaker, the battery pack comes with tailor-made thermal management.
Experience Fast Battery Charging:
Tata motors claim Tigor EV customers will experience fast battery charge using a 15A home socket as well.
Currently, Nexon EV battery gets charges 0 to 80 per cent in 1 hour and Tigor EV is expected to come up with the same features.

- Corner Stability control.
Tata Tigor EV Price:
The price of the car is expected to unveil on the launching day i.e. 31st August 2021, but as of now the carmaker has commenced booking of the car by accepting a minimum amount of 21,000 Rs.
Tata Motors has earlier introduced XPres-T, a variant of Tigor EV for the commercial segment. It has two variants XM+ and XT+. XM+ costs around 9.75 lakhs and XT+ at 9.90 lakhs.
The XM+ and XT+ variants use a 72V motor with a 21.5 kWh battery with Ziptron technology.
The manufacturing of E-Vehicles is expected to increase the share of manufacturing in India’s GDP to 25% by 2022 under the Make In India programme.
Ministry of Power has already launched the National E-mobility programme in India and have instigated electric cars which includes Mahindra e-Verito and Tata Tigor EV.
“Go Electric” campaign has been launched by the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Mr Nitin Gadkari and R.K. Singh, the Union Minister of State for Power and Renewable Energy, to spread the recognition on the benefits of e-mobility.
