Reliance Jio has launched “JioMotive” a plug-and-play 4G GPS tracker for cars. The car GPS tracker connects to the vehicle’s On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) to perform its functions.
It helps to trace a lot of important tasks which include the real-time location of the vehicle, driving behavior as well as other insights. JioMotive also acts as a WIFI hotspot for the car.

JioMotive customers in India can get a complimentary offer of a one-year subscription to buy the tracker. After one year 599rs will be the subscription cost.

JioMotive devices can only be used with a Jio SIM card. Existing Jio SIM card users have the benefit of extending the Jio smartphone plan to JioMotive devices.
Here is the guide to setting up a JioMotive device in your Car
- Install the JioThings App on your smartphone from the Play Store or Apple Store.
- Use your Jio number to log in to the App.
- Add the device to the list of existing devices using the Plus ‘+’ sign.
- On the JioMotive device add the IMEI number and select ‘Proceed’ for the next step
- Now enter the car details such as Vehicle Number, Registration Date, Model Type, and others.
- Now attach the device to the car’s On-Board Diagnostics and turn on your car. Ensure you should be in a good network area.
- Approve the Terms & Conditions of the JioEverywhereConnect Number Sharing Plan, and then select the Enable option
- Tick on ‘JioJCR1440’ and proceed to the following step by clicking on it.
- Once the device is connected the screen will pop up a confirmation message to you.
