Mukesh Ambani’s Jio clinched almost half of the spectrum put up for bid at India’s largest-ever telecom spectrum auction that ended on August 1, collecting over Rs.1.5 lakh crore of bids.
The report, released on August 7, said Jio’s 5G coverage planning has been completed in the top 1,000 cities based on targeted customer consumption and revenue potential using heat maps, 3D maps, and ray tracing technology.
The firm has tested 5G using applications such as augmented reality, virtual reality, low-latency cloud gaming, network slicing, video delivery, TV streaming, connected hospitals, and industrial applications, in order to provide patients with the most up-to-date healthcare facilities.
