EV Cars in India

The Electric Vehicle market has grown tremendously last year in India. According to the Economic Survey 2023, India’s domestic electric vehicle industry will grow at a 94.4 percent compound annual growth CAGR between 2022 and 2030 accomplishing the milestone of 10 million sales every year by that time.

By 2030 it is predicted that the electric automotive industry will generate 50 million direct and indirect jobs.

Along with it, there are serious challenges for EV cars in India that need to be addressed to become more prevalent in India.

One of the main challenges is of charging infrastructure. While the government has taken the initiative to set up charging stations across the country, the progress has been slow and this is the main concern of buyers to run out of charge during long journeys.

One of the other challenges includes the price of EV cars in India which makes them less accessible to the average consumer.

Earlier, the range of electric vehicles was very low which made consumers unsuitable for long-distance travel. Now the range has been improved to a very good level.

Despite the challenges, it seems like the future of transportation in India could be electric.

Several manufacturers have cited plans to launch electric vehicles in the upcoming years and the government has set a target of achieving 30% electric vehicle replacement by 2030.

In the meantime, it’s need of an hour to keep an eye on the latest entry in the Indian automotive market.

Additionally, the side mirrors are mounted on doors and the flush door handles carry on with the Curvv, which makes the first Tata car to have this kind of door handle setup.
