Ride and Handling Quality
Usually, you may have noticed that nearly every Kia vehicle offers excellent ride and handling quality, and the same is true for the Kia Syros.
The clutch, steering, and gearbox all operate with buttery smoothness. While this car, the Kia Syros, is not designed for a punchy driving experience, it still provides a controlled ride even at high speeds on the highway.
Due to the vast and open design of the windscreen and window glass area in this car, the driver has a complete view of the road, which allows for easier driving.
In comparison to the previous model, the seats in the Kia Syros are noticeably wider and more comfortable.
Cabin.
In this Kia Syros car, you will find the best cabin space in its segment, particularly in the rear, where there is ample legroom and headroom.
Even if your height is 6 feet 2 inches, 6 feet 3 inches, or 6 feet 4 inches, you will not encounter any problems there.
Not only can you travel comfortably in the rear cabin, but you can also spread out in the front cabin.
Several additional compartments, mobile pockets, and seat back pockets have been included in addition to the bottle holder.
Along with the cabin space, many storage spaces have also been provided in it, like in every car, you get bottle holders on all four doors.

If you slide and fully recline the seats, you will achieve a boot space of 390 liters. This 390-liter capacity is the second largest in its segment.
Safety.
Nowadays, six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Collision Braking Detection (CBD), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS), and Wheel Control are standard features in nearly every car. Additionally, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are now being introduced.
ADAS Levels One and Two, and Camera Types. Currently, there are three types of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) available in the market. Among these, ADAS Level Two is exclusively offered in this segment.
XUV 3XO, Kylaq, Nexon, and Brezza do not offer any form of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). However, the Venue includes ADAS, albeit at Level One, which provides a total of ten features.
In the Kia Syros, the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) utilize a camera-based system rather than a radar system. As a result, the ADAS features available in this vehicle are superior to those found in other models from the Kia Sonet
USP
There are many features available in the Kia Syros car that are not found in other cars within the same segment. For instance, this vehicle is equipped with disc brakes on all four wheels, both front and rear.
While the Kia Syros SUV is equipped with 17-inch tires, which are typically found on compact SUVs, this feature is included in this vehicle.
In the other segment, such as the Sonet, Nexon, Brezza, and Venue, the maximum available tire size is 16 inches.
A panoramic sunroof is available in the Kia Syros, whereas it is not offered in the Sonet, Kylaq, Brezza, and Venue.
A tire pressure monitoring system is available in this segment, whereas it is not offered in the Brezza.
An air purifier is included in this car, while the Brezza, Kylaq, and XUV do not have one.
The electronic parking brake is available in the Kia Syros, but it is not offered in the Sonet, Kylaq, Brezza, and Venue.
A 360-degree camera is included in the Kia Syros, which is not available in the Kylaq and Venue models.
Puddle lamps are available in this model, whereas they are not offered in the Sonet, XUV 3XO, Brezza, Nexon, and Kylaq.

In Kia Syros, you will find the largest touchscreen in its class, measuring 12.3 inches. In contrast, other vehicles in the segment offer screens ranging from a minimum of 8 inches to a maximum of 10.25 inches.
Not only that, this car is equipped with eight Harman Kardon speakers in its infotainment system, while the Brezza, Kylaq, and XUV each offer a maximum of six speakers. In contrast, the Kia Sonet provides up to seven speakers.
One thing is certain: there are eight Harman Kardon speakers, but their sound quality is not as exceptional as one might expect. You would think that with eight Harman Kardon speakers, the audio quality would be outstanding; however, that is not the case.

An electronically adjustable driver’s seat is available in this model, which is not offered in the XUV, Nexon, or Brezza.
The vehicle is equipped with leather seats, which are not available in the Brezza. Additionally, the Venue features a combination of leather and fabric upholstery.
Front ventilated seats are included in the Kia Syros, which are not offered in the XUV Brezza and Venue.
Digital Multi-Information Display is included in this car, whereas it is not available in the Brezza.
Apart from this, you can adjust the rear seat in six different ways: it can slide forward and backward, and the seat back can also recline. This feature is not available in any other car in the segment.
It is available in the Venue, which allows you to recline and clean the seat back in two simple steps—a feature not found in any other car.
Ventilation
The rear seats of Kia Syros are equipped with a ventilation function for cooling; however, only the thigh area is ventilated. The seat back, where our backs rest, lacks ventilation. This means that while there is customized ventilation, it is only partial. Nonetheless, this unique half-ventilation feature is not available in any other car within this segment.
In this model, you are provided with a dual-camera dash cam, which is not available in the Kylaq, Brezza, XUV, or Nexon.
There are front parking sensors that are not available in the Kylaq, Brezza, and Venue. Traction modes, such as sand, mud, and snow, are also unavailable in the Kylaq, Brezza, Venue, Nexon, and XUV 3XO.
There is one touch-up and down window feature available in all the windows; however, it is not offered in Kylaq Brezza, Venue, Nexon, or XUV 3XO.
This feature is available only in the driver window.
Drive Modes
Drive modes include Eco, Normal, and Sport, which are not available in the Brezza. This highlights a comprehensive list of features offered in the Kia Syros, but that are lacking in other vehicles within the same segment.

Warranty Offer.
In this vehicle, you receive a warranty of up to 3 years or unlimited kilometres, while in the Kylaq, Brezza, and Nexon, the warranty is limited to 3 years or up to 100,000 kilometres.
Design of this vehicle.
Some people may have enjoyed it greatly, while others may not have liked it at all.
In my personal opinion, the design of this car is quite busy.
Not a single space has been left empty. Everywhere, there is a cut or some other object.
Syros Interior & Exterior
Whether discussing the interior or the exterior, the entire car appears quite busy. It can be overwhelming to determine what to focus on first, what actions to take, and what to avoid. Until you have seen everything, it is difficult to articulate what to prioritize next.
Apart from this, the Kia Syros is equipped with flush door handles. Unlike traditional door handles, these require you to push them first, causing the other portion to extend outward.
Then you will need to stretch it further; only then will the gate open. While these flush door handles undoubtedly appear premium, they seem to be cumbersome for everyday use.
Head Room & Leg Room
You have ample headroom and legroom in the rear seat of this car; however, the shoulder room is limited.
What I mean to convey is that two people can comfortably sit in the rear seat. You can enjoy a pleasant journey regardless of its length. However, if a third person of similar height and health is added to the back seat, then not just one, but all three passengers will experience discomfort.
If three people are seated, then the third person should either be very thin and weak, whose presence or absence would not matter to anyone, or they should be a child.
Suspension.
The seats in this car are exceptionally comfortable, spacious, and provide excellent support. However, when it comes to the suspension, it falls short compared to others in its segment and price range.
Diesel Engine
When discussing the diesel engine, consider the car you are purchasing for approximately ₹16 lakh to ₹21 lakh. The engine noise in this vehicle is quite noticeable, which detracts from the overall experience. Additionally, the cabin is not as quiet as one would expect for a car in this price range.
This vehicle features a diesel automatic transmission equipped with torque converter technology, which is highly advantageous. In contrast, the petrol variant utilizes dual-clutch technology.

The history of Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) in India has been problematic. If manufacturers had opted for Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) or a torque converter instead of DCT, the pricing would have been lower, and the system would likely have been more reliable.
Mileage
This vehicle falls within the sub-four-meter SUV segment. Its engine does not produce excessive power or torque, which has resulted in a lower claimed mileage. Additionally, I believe that the weight of this vehicle, being in this segment, would not be significantly high enough to adversely affect its mileage.
In petrol automatic, this vehicle claims a mileage of 17.6 km/l, whereas other vehicles in the segment achieve significantly better mileage.
Brezza has a fuel efficiency of 19.8 km per liter, while the Kylaq offers 19.08 km per liter.
Let’s say the fuel efficiency of petrol is poor. If it were diesel, it would likely be better; however, diesel can also be equally inefficient.
In the diesel automatic variant, a mileage of 17.6 km per liter (kmpl) is claimed, while the Sonet from the same company claims a mileage of 19 kmpl.
In the Nexon, a mileage of approximately 24 km per liter (kmpl) is claimed. In contrast, the XUV 3XO, you get more power and torque, yet it still claims a mileage of 20.6 kmpl.
In the Diesel manual, the Kia Syros claims a mileage of 20.7 km per liter (kmpl), while the Sonet boasts a mileage of 24.1 kmpl, the Venue offers 24.2 kmpl, and the Nexon claims a mileage of 23.2 kmpl.
Ground Clearance
In Kia Syros, a ground clearance of 189 mm is claimed, whereas other cars in the segment boast better ground clearances: 208 mm in the Nexon, 205 mm in the Sonet, 201 mm in the XUV, 195 mm in the Venue, and 198 mm in the Brezza.
Although this car is equipped with standard safety features and includes ADAS Level 2, it lacks certain safety technologies found in some competitors within the segment. For instance, it does not offer a multi-collision brake system. This feature automatically applies the brakes after an initial impact if the driver is unable to do so, helping to prevent further accidents. In other words, if the vehicle collides with an object and the driver is incapacitated, the car will engage the brakes to avoid subsequent collisions.
Apart from this, features such as brake disc wiping and rollover protection are available in the Skoda Kylaq but not in the Kia Syros.
Similarly, features such as electronic brake pre-rollover mitigation and brake disc wiping are available in the Nexon but not in the Kia Syros.
Although this car is feature-loaded, it still lacks some features that are available in other vehicles within the segment. For instance, the rear seat does not come with a middle headrest; only two headrests are provided, which is sufficient for two passengers.
The design has been created to accommodate only two people, yet in the Kylaq, you will find three headrests.

Cool Zone automatic climate control system is not available in this model; however, it is offered in the XUV 3XO. Additionally, only tilt steering is provided, which allows you to adjust the steering wheel up and down.
The telescopic feature is not included, meaning that you cannot adjust the steering wheel forward and backward. In contrast, this feature is available in both the Brezza and the Kylaq.
Fog lenses are not included, while they are available in the Nexon, Kylaq XUV 3XO, and others. Additionally, there is no cooled glove box, which is a feature found in the Kia Seltos, XUV300, Nexon, Brezza, and Venue.
A four-way electrically adjustable co-driver seat is not available in the Kia Syros, but it is offered in the Kylaq has.
It features an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, but it is four-way rather than six-way.
Rain-sensing wipers are not available in this model, whereas they are offered in Kylaq Nexon and XUV 3XO.
The vehicle lacks a head-up display, which is available in the Brezza. Additionally, it does not offer a smart steering mode, a feature found in the XUV 3XO.
CNG
Nowadays, we are in the era of CNG (Compressed Natural Gas). While petrol, diesel, and electric vehicles (EVs) are available, CNG is currently the preferred option. However, this car does not offer a CNG variant, and there has been no announcement regarding its introduction. In this segment, though, both the Nexon and Brezza provide CNG options.
Price Range
The pricing for every car in this segment starts at 8 or 8.5 lakhs, while the Kia Syros car starts from 9 lakhs.
Similarly, the top variant of every car in this segment is available to you for prices ranging from ₹ 14 lakhs to ₹ 15.5 lakhs ex-showroom. However, the top variant of the Kia Syros is priced at ₹ 18 lakhs, which means that, roughly speaking, this car is about ₹ 2 to ₹ 3 lakhs more expensive than the other cars in the segment.
