Kia EV6 has finally arrived in India.
An article published by India-Briefing.com says Niti Aayog, the federal think tank publishes a report titled “India’s Electric Mobility Transformation” which spikes Electric Vehicle sales penetration in India at 30 percent for private cars, 40 percent for buses, 70 percent for commercial cars and 80 percent for two and three-wheelers by 2030.
The report says if the above targets are achieved it would lead to a net reduction of 14 exajoules of energy and 846 million tons of CO2 emissions.
This will help India to lower carbon emissions and increase the use of cleaner sources of energy and transportation.
The scope for electric cars in India is colossal in upcoming years as people are adopting the new change. India stands among one of the top 10 populated countries in the world due to the use of fossil fuels. It is said that by 2030 the Indian roads would be 100% permeated with EV cars.
Kia Electric EV6
The much-awaited car in India KIA EV6 has now officially launched on June 2nd Thursday.
Kia’s EV6 is based on the company’s Electric-Global Modular Platform. The platform offers a variety of body shapes and cabin layouts. As per KIA, only 100 vehicles were shipped to India via the CBU route.

EV6 is powered by a 77.4 kWh battery pack. It takes 18 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%.
With a single full battery charge, the car travels up to 528 km and can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds.
KIA EV6 rear-wheel drive, the single motor guise generates 229hp and 350Nm, and in the all-wheel drive, dual motor guise, it generates 325hp and 605Nm.

Kia EV6 price in India is offered in the range of Rs.59.95 Lakhs to Rs.64.96 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
The car is available in two variants GT RWD and AWD.
KIA EV6 car can be booked with a token of Rs.3Lc through 15 select dealerships across 13 cities. The cities include Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Gurugram, Noida, Jaipur, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi, Hyderabad, and Kolkata.
