The Apple Vision Pro is officially on sale in the United States from Friday and the company seems all set to introduce a new era of using personal computers by investing in something they call spatial computing.
The California-based tech giant announced 600 new apps and games designed for the device on the App Store on Thursday.
The Vision Pro headset is an augmented reality canvas. Users can communicate using their eyes, hands, and voice. This new headset can improve your media consumption by turning your room into a personal theatre where you can watch sports, TV shows, and films.
Here are some 600 Apps that Apple has revealed, and how they take advantage of cool new features of devices to give you a surreal experience that you may not had before.
Changing the Way You Experience Sports
Apple’s new Vision Pro headset displays high resolution and delivers a 4k TV worth of pixels to each eye which lets users watch the content on an equivalent to a 100-foot screen.
PGA Tour APP
Apps like the PGA Tour will have live shot tracking layered on top of 3D models of golf courses along with essential data like leaderboards, scorecard schedules, and other tournament details provided in an engaging format.
NBA App
The NBA app enables basketball enthusiasts to stream up to five different broadcasts with Multiview. This feature allows them to keep an eye on real-time player and team stats while letting them check out other games and scores.
MLB App
The MLB app will try to engross users in a baseball stadium with a view from home plate and stats from each pitch.
Red Bull TV will showcase 3D race maps along with high-quality videos and enthralling surroundings.
Stream like Never Before
Streaming apps like Disney+ and Warner Bros. Discovery Max will benefit from the Apple Vision Pro’s capabilities to let users watch their entertainment in a new way.
The Apple TV app allows Vision Pro users to watch TV shows and movies that are created by Apple on Apple TV+
This comprises over 200 3D movies and Apple immersive video. Apple says this will make viewers feel like they are in the middle of the action with 180-degree 3D recordings using Spatial Audion.
Apple Music enables users to download and stream more than 100 million songs ad-free with Spatial Audio.
Apple Vision Pro could change Productivity
Apple stated that Vision Pro cannot be used only for entertainment but can be used professionally also.
The 3D user interface of the Vision Pro headset gets rid of the boundaries of a display allowing them to appear side by side, creating the ideal canvas for multitasking and collaboration.
Users can pair the Magic Keyboard and Magic Trackpad or can get Mac’s capabilities into Vision Pro with a Mac virtual display.
The app Box is built deliberately for visionOS and is designed to make it easier to partner and securely manage files and content.
The MindNode app will assist users in generating ideas using thought bubbles that float around in a virtual space.
OmniFocus and OmniPlan utilize data and visualization for project management in large windows to view a complete project plan.
Productivity apps in Microsoft 365 such as Fantastical and Numerics will make the same use of this same “infinite canvas.
JigSpace will merge 3D content, audio, video, and text in interactive step-by-step spatial presentations. Users can join Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Webex calls using your Apple Vision Pro.
Gaming on visionOS
Apple Arcade will have a list of 250 games that can be played on the Apple Vision Pro headset with no in-app purchases or ads. The list includes popular titles like NBA 2024 Arcade Edition, Sonic Dream Team, and TMNT Splintered Fate.
Titles will also be present to take advantage of the Vision Pro and VisionOS. Spatial games will include Fruit Ninja, Synth Riders, and Game Room. These games can be played in augmented reality.
