Mumbai airport created a record by handling single-day air traffic movements of 1032 aircraft on 11 November and on 25th November, the highest single-day traffic recorded was 164,132 passengers to maintain its role as a key hub for air travel.
Highest-ever Monthly Traffic in November 2023
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport Mumbai recorded its highest-ever monthly traffic of 44.6 lakh passengers in November 2023.
13% growth was seen in this year current year compared to the previous year November 2022 which had 39 lakh passengers.
A total of 109% recovery of passengers was measured compared to the pre-pandemic era.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport’s top domestic destinations in terms of passenger preferences in November were New Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
International destinations were Dubai, London, and Abu Dhabi were most adored.

Mumbai – Delhi Route Recorded Traffic of 557,393 Passengers.
The swarming Mumbai-Delhi route alone recorded major traffic of 557,393 passengers with Air India, Vistara, and Indigo in the domestic market share.
In the international sector Indigo, Emirates, and Air India continued to retain their leading positions, while Indigo served over 16 lakhs million domestic passengers.
CSMIA spokesperson said “Mumbai airport had recently expanded its international connectivity to destinations like Toronto, Bangkok, Entebbe, and Baku adding to the diverse travel network.
Mumbai airport had roughly 7000+ International and 20,000+ domestic Air Traffic Movements in November.
Bangalore, Chennai, and Delhi have kept their position as the top domestic destinations for CSMIA, and preferred international flights were Dubai, London, and Abu Dhabi.
