Xiaomi is one of the successful mobile selling brands in India with its Redmi series and also best-selling smart TV.

Now Xiaomi India head Manu Kumar Jain has confirmed the reports that the company has set to launch Redmi Laptop called RedmiBook. The company already sells laptops under the MI brand and is now set to launch under the Redmi.

Redmi Laptop To be Launched on August 3, 2021

Xiaomi officially tweeted the that RedmiBook laptop to be launched on 3rd August in India.

Xiaomi had earlier confirmed that the laptop will be available on Flipkart and on MI.com also. The company already sells RedmiBook laptops in China and now RedmiBook 15 will be available in India.

RedmiBook 15 Specifications & Features

Xiaomi hasn’t disclosed any specifications regarding the new series laptop, but according to various leaks, some specifications of the upcoming RedmiBook have been babbled.

The RedmiBook laptop will have a 15.6 inches 1920*1080 pixels display offering Full-HD resolution powered by Intel’s 11 Generation Core i3 and i5 Tiger lake processor with 8Gb RAM. It is also been reported that the laptop consists of a 65W charger.

The laptop will have PCIe SSD storage, to be available in two options 256 GB and 512 GB. Moreover, it will also have dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v5.0.

The RedmiBook laptop will be expected to have Windows 10 operating system, but the users will be able to upgrade to Windows 11 once the new version is released. Connectivity-wise RedmiBook 15 will have USB 3.1 Type C, USB Type-A, USB 2.0, HDMI, and audio jack.

RedmiBook is expected to have two 2W stereo speakers onboard and an inbuilt HD webcam. MI notebook which was launched in the country last year didn’t have a webcam on it, the company used to ship webcam additionally with the laptop.

RedmiBook Price in India

It is expected that the RedmiBook laptop will cost the Indian market at a price of 40,000 to 50,000 INR. The RedmiBook will be available in only 1 color option i.e. charcoal grey.

RedmiBook is said to compete with this range of price with Asus VivoBook, Acer Swift 3.

Xiaomi has publicized an invite mentioning the launch of the RedmiBook. It said… “Last year, Redmi had become more than a smartphone brand by launching power banks, earbuds, and smart bands. This year, we launched smart TVs also. And now we have decided to launch RedmiBook.”.

Xiaomi’s upcoming MI Pad 5 series of tablet specifications have been leaked. I

It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset with 5G support. Also, it will consist of a 10.95-inch LCD display with 2k resolution with a side-facing fingerprint scanner. It will have a 48-megapixel primary rear camera.
